The Team

Brandon Johnson

I grew up in central Indiana, where most of my free time was spent fishing the local lakes and rivers. That early start turned into a lifelong passion for fishing of all kinds, though bass fishing has always been at the center of it.
After graduating from Ball State University, I joined the military and was later stationed in San Diego. Along the way, fishing has remained a constant.
Rod building started as a way to fine-tune the gear I was using and quickly became a craft I wanted to share with others. My goal is simple: to build high-quality rods that help anglers get the most out of their equipment.

Matt Skelly

I grew up fishing along the South Jersey coast, spending as much time on the water as possible with my old man.
After graduating from Ball State University, I moved to Austin, Texas, where I fell in love with the Central and Coastal Texas fisheries—and picked up a fly rod for the first time. Fly fishing only amplified what was already a full-blown obsession.
When I’m not on the water, I’m thinking about it. I started building rods as a way to stay connected to fishing on days I couldn’t get out. Once I fished the rods I built myself and felt the difference in quality and performance, I knew I wanted to share that experience with others.
