The Team

Brandon Johnson

Brandon grew up in central Indiana, where most of his free time was spent fishing the local lakes and rivers. That early start turned into a lifelong passion for fishing of all kinds, though bass fishing has always been at the center of it.After graduating from Ball State University, Brandon joined the military and was later stationed in San Diego. Along the way, fishing has remained a constant.Rod building started as a way to fine-tune the gear Brandon was using and quickly became a craft he wanted to share with others. His goal is simple: to build high-quality rods that help anglers get the most out of their equipment.

Matt Skelly

Matt grew up fishing along the South Jersey coast, spending as much time on the water as possible with my old man. After graduating from Ball State University, Matt moved to Austin, Texas, where he fell in love with the Central and Coastal Texas fisheries—and picked up a fly rod for the first time. Fly fishing only amplified what was already a full-blown obsession. When Matt's not on the water, he's thinking about it. He started building rods as a way to stay connected to fishing on days he couldn’t get out. Once he fished the rods he built himself and felt the difference in quality and performance, Matt knew he wanted to share that experience with others.
